FASHION
I have been interested in the world of fashion for as long as I can remember. I believe that clothing is not only a medium of expression but of storytelling. My love for photography started from the moment I opened up a W Magazine, staring in awe at the editorials. I have always admired the true craftsmanship that goes into all aspects of the Fashion Industry. As I continue to grow and share new experiences I found my love for this industry to blossom in more specific areas: Product Development Analysis and Color Theory; Editorial Styling and Photography; and Runway Management / Organization. These three areas have really given me the chance to shine and Identify my core skills and passions

In the Fall of 2023 I studied abroad in Florence, Italy where I had the wonderful opportunity of taking 3 months to hone in on my craft: photography while also learning more about the fashion industry. During this time I participated in a course: Fashion Product Development where I learned just how extensive the process is to get a project from on paper to store. I have always loved conducting analysis and strategy development and so when I got to the homework assignments for this class I couldn't help but go above and beyond as I got to combine case analysis with my love for fashion. If you would like to engage with any of my papers that rage from brand & consumer analysis, color prediction reports, and 2024/2025 trend predictions please click the links above!
These Photos are from my many trips to Milan! Particularly my trip to Milan Fashion Week. What a unique experience it was to be in Milan at the time. I got to meet with designers and hear more about their process, listen to talks from industry professionals and visit Fondazione Prada and Armani Silos to see iconic art installations and timeless garments. I cannot wait for my next visit.
Fashion Promotion & ExhibitionAnother class that I have to highlight is this one as it ignited my interest and appreciation for the runway and all that goes into the final show. Over the course of a semester my classmates and I worked on numerous styling and promotional challenges with brands in the St.Louis community, while also learning more about studio shoots and conducting our own in collaboration with professional photographers and makeup artists. We then produced an entire fashion show in collaboration with the fashion students, and professional lighting companies to create an amazing experience. I was tasked with the role of backstage manager and I never knew just how important this role was. Not only did I have to get each set of models ready for the line up in the correct order, but on time within 5 minute increment changes and tracking them in full rotation in hair makeup and dressing. The coordination, organization, and stress management of this job was honestly the highlight, and the sigh of relief when the show was complete was an even bigger one. I have so much appreciation and respect for the industry professionals that come together to produce the shows and it really did light the passion on my side to engage more with the production side of the industry.

Lastly I wanted to emphasize why I do what I do: its the relationships I get to create with the designers and the models, the adrenaline rush of being part of the creation and execution process. I truly did find a love for show production, product development analysis and systems and I would be honored to participate in any aspect of the industry.
